Chad Lowe's daughter Mabel shares tribute to late sister Fiona

Chad Lowe's daughter Mabel shared a social media tribute to her younger sister Fiona, who died by suicide at the age of 13. Mabel, 17, posted a carousel of images with her sister over the weekend, writing, "I love you so much fiona." The post expressed a wish that Fiona's short time on earth was easier and stated a hope that her mind is now at ease. Mabel concluded the message by promising to honor her sister forever and keep her memory alive.

Fiona died at a Los Angeles hospital on Sept. 29, according to the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner's office. The medical examiner's office ruled the official cause of death as suicide. Fiona was the middle child of Chad Lowe and his wife Kim Painter. The couple has been together for nearly two decades and have maintained a relatively private family life away from much of the Hollywood spotlight.

In a statement provided to Page Six on Tuesday, the family said they are deeply heartbroken by the loss of their beloved Fiona. The statement described her as a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance. It noted that she was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents, calling her "the light of our lives." The family stated that her passing is devastating for their entire family and asked for prayers and privacy at this time. They also encouraged anyone struggling with mental health issues to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

Family friends sent condolences to the Lowe family during this difficult time. Jeremy Renner wrote, "Bless you dear Mabel 🙏🏼🙏🏼. ❤️‍🩹 My deepest condolences to you and the family." Jessica Capshaw praised the tribute to Fiona, stating she had kept the family in her thoughts and prayers while sending them love. Kimberly Williams Paisley said she and others had been thinking of the family all week, offering prayers and affection, while Selma Blair expressed her wishes for Mabel in her sister's memory.

Chad Lowe is an Emmy-winning actor and director best known for his work on "Life Goes On," "Pretty Little Liars" and "9-1-1: Lone Star." He is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe. Kim Painter is a producer and casting professional whose credits include "Enemy of the State," "Ted Bundy" and "Instant Dads."
