Department of Homeland Security marked Father's Day by recognising a group of fathers whose children were killed or catastrophically injured in crimes attributed to illegal aliens, channelling the acknowledgement through the Trump administration's relaunched Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement office.

The move underscores a broader enforcement posture in Washington that has drawn sharp contrasts with the preceding administration's approach to border and interior security.

VOICE Office Revived Under Trump Administration The Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement office, known as VOICE, was shuttered during the Biden administration and relaunched after President Trump returned to office.

DHS says the office has fielded nearly 900 calls over the past year, with victims and family members accounting for 87 percent of callers.
