Against the backdrop of passive investing's long intellectual rise, the research and education work that built the sector's evidence base is drawing formal acknowledgment from established professional institutions.
Higgins, CFA, CFP, of Irvine, California-based Index Fund Advisors, has received honors from both the CFA Institute and the Museum of American Finance for his contributions to investment research and financial education, the firm announced July 7, 2026.
Two institutions, different mandates The honors come from organizations with distinct roles in professional finance. The CFA Institute oversees global investment analysis standards and credentialing.
The Museum of American Finance focuses on financial history and public education. Index Fund Advisors said Higgins earned recognition from both, citing his work in investment research and financial education.
