The company noted that this figure is largely an accounting valuation of stock awards, meaning Musk did not receive the sum in cash or realized compensation.
If Musk were to convert this 2025 compensation into Bitcoin (BTC) on the day of the disclosure, the purchase would represent a significant portion of the cryptocurrency's total supply.
At a price of approximately $76,300 on May 1, the $158.35 billion valuation could have acquired around 2.075 million BTC.
