EchoStar Corporation disclosed that its subsidiary, DISH DBS Corporation, and certain of its subsidiaries emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy on October 1, 2026.
The restructuring reduced the aggregate outstanding indebtedness of the DISH DBS Filing Entities by approximately $4.35 billion, a result driven by debt restructuring, the full repayment of 7.75% Senior Notes due July 1, 2026, and partial early repayment of 5.25% Senior Secured Notes due December 1, 2026.
The DISH DBS Filing Entities commenced voluntary cases under Chapter 11 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas on June 30, 2026, to pursue a joint prepackaged plan of reorganization.
On August 27, 2026, the entities informed the court of a decision to bifurcate the plan into separate plans for the DISH DBS Filing Entities and the DISH Wireless Filing Entities.
