HONG KONG, June 24 — Actual purchase data from readers of The Verge, tracked during Amazon's Prime Day promotional event, shows Apple hardware and Amazon's own Kindle lineup accounting for most of the top-selling items, with smart home devices from Google and smaller manufacturers filling the remaining positions.
The data reflects where buyers are concentrating discretionary electronics spending when prices are cut, rather than what editors alone recommend.
Apple Occupies Four of the Top Purchase Slots AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Max 2, Apple Watch SE 3, and the second-generation AirTag each appear among the most-purchased items.
The AirPods Pro 3 are available at $179 against a standard price of $249 at Amazon and Best Buy. The AirPods Max 2 carry the steeper nominal cut, dropping to $399 from $549 at Amazon and Walmart.
