WWE grants Bleacher Report global highlights rights

WWE granted Bleacher Report global rights to highlights across its programming on Monday. The deal covers "Monday Night Raw," "Friday Night SmackDown," NXT, and premium live events, with Bleacher Report also securing a presence at certain premium live events, according to a company news release.

Alex Varga, executive vice president at WWE, stated in a release that the partnership reinforces WWE's commitment to bringing its content to a global audience. "Bleacher Report has long been at the intersection of sports and culture," Varga said. Bennett Spector, general manager of Bleacher Report, added that the deal allows the platform to bring fans closer to major moments while tapping into WWE's history and personalities.

WWE currently maintains a substantial social media presence, with more than 102 million followers on Facebook, 40.1 million on TikTok, 35 million on Instagram, and 13 million on X. The announcement follows days after Paramount reached a settlement with states that had sued to block the Warner Bros. Discovery takeover.

Bleacher Report operates as a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery through TNT Sports. This corporate structure is notable because WWE's U.S. competitor, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), owned by Tony Khan, airs its weekly shows on TNT, TBS, and HBO Max. Khan has previously welcomed the merger between Warner Bros. and Discovery.

In a statement provided via Fightful, Khan described the corporate changes as a "known quantity" and expressed excitement about the future. "I think this is exciting because we grew in a situation where the new corporate leadership in 2022... was something of an unknown entity to us and we really won them over immediately," Khan said. He noted that AEW has been an important part of the Warner Bros. Discovery portfolio for years and expects that relationship to continue.

Warner Bros. Discovery announced in June 2025 that it planned to keep TNT Sports and Bleacher Report under its Global Networks division, separating them from its television and film endeavors. Sportico reported in December that this structure remained the plan for the end of 2026. Bleacher Report had previously hosted AEW pay-per-views on its streaming platform before discontinuing that service in 2024.
