Nathan R. Iles, Chief Financial Officer of Standard Motor Products, Inc. (NYSE: SMP), has resigned to accept a similar role at another public company and move closer to his family. The automotive parts manufacturer announced that Mr. Iles will stay in his current position through October 30, 2026. The company confirmed his departure is voluntary and stems from no disagreements over operations or financial reporting.

To ensure continuity, the Board of Directors appointed James J. Burke as Interim Chief Financial Officer starting October 30, 2026. Mr. Burke, who remains on the Board, will hold the position until a permanent replacement is found. Eric Sills, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, noted that Mr. Burke previously led finance from 1999 to 2019 before becoming Chief Operating Officer until June of this year. Sills said Mr. Burke’s recent transition to an executive advisor role positions him to manage the finance team effectively.

Sills stated that Mr. Iles strengthened the financial organization and supported strategic growth during his tenure. The outgoing CFO expressed pride in the team's accomplishments and confidence in the company's long-term strategy. Standard Motor Products has begun an executive search for a permanent CFO and expects an orderly transition. The company plans to release earnings for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2026, prior to market open on October 30, 2026, with call details to follow.
