News Corp has disclosed the purchase of 12,982,941 shares of its Class A common stock in a daily notification to the Australian Securities Exchange. The company paid a total consideration of US$341,251,595.07 for these securities, which were bought back on October 8, 2026. This transaction is part of the company's ongoing repurchase program authorized as of July 15, 2025.
The repurchase program allows News Corp to buy back up to an aggregate of US$1 billion of its Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B common stock. The company stated that it intends to repurchase shares from time to time in the open market or otherwise, subject to market conditions and the stock price.
