Perspective Therapeutics, Inc. (NYSE AMERICAN: CATX) presented interim Phase 1/2a results for [212Pb]VMT-alpha-NET at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026 in Madrid, Spain. The data indicate durable disease control and tumor response in patients with advanced somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2)-expressing neuroendocrine tumors, with a progression-free survival rate of 72% at 18 months across all treatment cohorts.
The study enrolled 68 patients across three dose cohorts, with a data cut-off date of September 2, 2026. In Cohort 2, which received a 5.0 mCi dose, the objective response rate was 33%, while Cohort 3, receiving a 6.0 mCi dose, showed a 50% objective response rate. For patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors whose target lesions all express SSTR2, responses were observed in 37% of Cohort 2 patients and 47% of Cohort 3 patients. Disease control rates were 89% in Cohort 2 and 95% in Cohort 3.
Safety data from the trial showed no dose-limiting toxicities or treatment-related discontinuations. No serious adverse events related to the study medication were reported during the treatment-emergent adverse event window. A low incidence of high-grade treatment-emergent adverse events was observed in 29% of patients, all classified as Grade 3. Two patients experienced Grade 3 renal events, and renal function is continuing to be characterized over longer follow-up periods. No cases of dysphagia or myelodysplastic syndrome were reported.
Thijs Spoor, Chief Executive Officer of Perspective Therapeutics, stated that the interim results reinforce the potential of VMT-alpha-NET to achieve a best-in-class profile with robust tumor response and low incidence of high-grade adverse events. Markus Puhlmann, Chief Medical Officer, noted that the data from a larger patient group and longer follow-up provide a more comprehensive understanding of the clinical profile, supporting the candidate's potential in SSTR2-positive neuroendocrine tumors.
The company aims to complete Phase 3 site start-up preparations around year-end 2026. This positioning is intended to allow for rapid activation of clinical sites following an End-of-Phase 2 meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Phase 3 initiation is expected in 2027. Perspective Therapeutics also plans to present additional data at the NANETS 2026 Multidisciplinary NET Medical Symposium on November 5, 2026, and the EORTC-NCI-AACR Symposium on November 20, 2026.
