US stock futures fall as 30-year Treasury yield hits 5.70% ahead of Fed minutes

US stock futures declined on Wednesday morning as global bond prices fell and investors awaited the release of minutes from the Federal Reserve's September policy meeting.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slipped 0.5%, while S&P 500 futures dropped 0.2% and Nasdaq-100 futures fell 0.6%. This pullback occurred after both major indexes reached record highs the previous day.

The yield on 30-year Treasury bonds rose to 5.70%, marking the highest level since 2002.

This increase in yields came just before the scheduled release of the Fed's meeting minutes from its September session, during which policymakers raised interest rates to combat inflation.
