JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and Goldman Sachs all reported higher third-quarter earnings and revenue, a development that traders were assessing as US equity futures traded in mixed territory ahead of the bell Tuesday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 0.7%, while S&P 500 futures fell 0.1% and Nasdaq futures dropped 0.7%.
President Donald Trump stated he does not believe China and Russia are assisting Iran, claiming in a Truth Social post that if such help were occurring, it would be at a very low level.
"They have too much to lose, and we would know about it, and know about it very fast!" the president wrote.
