Tight memory supply has narrowed the field for buyers seeking well-specified laptops at reasonable prices, and against that backdrop Microsoft's 2026 Surface Laptop is selling at Best Buy for $999.99, a cut of $600 from its $1,599.99 list price.
The 13.8-inch model carries a 10-core Snapdragon X2 Plus chipset and ships in 16GB of RAM with a 512GB SSD, in black or dune colorways, with the promotion running through July 30th.
The discount in context Competing retailers were charging $1,300 for the same configuration, so the Best Buy price goes a further $300 below that mark. Microsoft's own store had it listed at $1,299.99.
The entry-level 8GB version sits at $750, but a recent hands-on assessment found that the memory ceiling makes the experience difficult to recommend at that price, making the discounted 16GB build the stronger choice.
