The buildout of dedicated blockchain infrastructure for financial trading has found a new entrant.
Grand Cayman-based Morph, a blockchain network focused on payments, stablecoins, open finance, and onchain markets, launched Morph Tachyon on July 21, 2026, an independent Layer 1 purpose-built for trading and high-performance onchain markets.
The product runs as a separate chain from Morph's existing network. A dedicated execution chain Tachyon is built as an independent Layer 1, not an extension of Morph's existing infrastructure.
General-purpose chains typically face throughput and latency constraints that become acute under active order flow.
