The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner's office confirmed that Fiona Lowe, the 13-year-old daughter of actor Chad Lowe, died at a Los Angeles hospital on Sept.
1, the medical examiner's office had not publicly disclosed the specific cause of death. The family released a statement to Page Six on Tuesday describing the loss as devastating.
"We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona," the family said. They described her as a loving, smart, and creative young girl who loved to dance and was adored by her sisters.
The statement concluded by asking for prayers and privacy, noting that she was "the light of our lives." In the statement, the family encouraged anyone struggling with mental health issues to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
