KPMG LLP, the US-based audit, tax and advisory firm, has acquired a minority stake in Reality Defender, a platform built to detect deepfakes across voice and video in real time. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Reality Defender's technology is multimodal.
It integrates with communications platforms, business applications and enterprise workflows, assessing the authenticity of voice and video as interactions occur and enabling organisations to respond to suspected impersonation attempts before they result in fraud.
