The commercial launch map of Europe changed this week.
Germany's Isar Aerospace successfully placed its Spectrum rocket into orbit from a site in Norway, completing the first commercial orbital launch from continental Europe.
Commercial orbital launch from within the continent has not previously been available as a private-sector service.
European satellite operators and payload customers who needed orbital access sourced it from outside continental Europe. Spectrum's successful flight from Norway changes that.
