Republican nominee Mike Beltran is challenging Democratic incumbent Kathy Castor in Florida's 14th congressional district by attacking her twenty-year tenure as a lack of substantive legislative achievement.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Beltran, a former Florida state representative and practicing attorney, characterized Castor as a "socialist" rubber-stamp who has offered Tampa Bay residents "precious little to show" during her time in office.
Beltran contends that Castor's primary accomplishment has been renaming post offices and that she votes with her party over 90 percent of the time, including with candidates he labels as radical socialists.
Beltran argues that reelecting Castor would result in continued alignment with House leadership figures such as Hakeem Jeffries and committee chairs including Raskin, Omar, and Cortez.
