The inflation fight at the Federal Reserve remains open after Governor Lisa Cook said she is prepared to act on a rate hike if price pressures require it.

Cook voted last week alongside eight colleagues in a 9-3 majority to hold the central bank's benchmark borrowing rate in a range of 3.5% to 3.75%. The split signals a committee that has not settled on direction.
