The consolidation of home-based medical services has been building across the United States for several years, and it reached Cardinal Health's dealbook on July 20.
Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH), headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, said it had signed two definitive agreements to expand its at-Home Solutions division, including a deal to acquire the Diabetes Health business of AdaptHealth Corp.
The acquisitions The two deals are structured as tuck-ins to accelerate Cardinal Health's at-Home Solutions growth strategy.
One covers the Diabetes Health segment of AdaptHealth; the second was announced simultaneously but not named in the initial release. Financial terms for neither transaction were disclosed.
