The capex cycle in industrial identification and workflow has pulled mid-market operators toward acquisition, and margin absorption is the immediate consequence when a lower-margin target arrives at scale.
Brady Corporation (NYSE: BRC) closed its $1.4 billion acquisition of the Productivity Solutions and Services business on August 3, renamed it the Intelligent Productivity Solutions segment, and issued adjusted diluted EPS guidance of $6.25 to $6.75 for fiscal 2027, with approximately $0.80 expected as accretion from the new segment after acquisition-financing costs.
The fiscal 2026 results provided a credible base. Brady reported sales of $1.66 billion, up 9.8%, with 5.3% organic growth. Fourth-quarter organic sales reached 8.4%.
Operating cash flow rose 34.7% to $244.1 million from $181.2 million, and full-year segment profit margin expanded to 19.9% from 17.6%, indicating organic growth was converting into profitability.
