Against the backdrop of a legislative calendar that is reshaping digital asset capital flows, the CLARITY Act is drawing a sharper line between Bitcoin and the rest of the crypto complex.
Robert Mitchnick, BlackRock's head of digital assets, told CNBC Wednesday that the bill is "less critical" for Bitcoin ($BTC) than for other digital assets, arguing that Bitcoin has already reached a level of regulatory acceptance that most of its peers have not.
For assets touching decentralized finance and other complex categories, the regulatory picture remains genuinely unsettled, he said. That is where the CLARITY Act's real weight falls.
The debasement trade as the institutional driver Mitchnick's argument about institutional flows goes further than regulation.
