Gatlinburg, Tennessee sits within range of wildlife that occasionally finds its way into retail.
The Spice & Tea Exchange experienced that again last Friday when a young bear that store employees said had already come through the door earlier in the same week returned, sampled the shop's sweet-tea blend and tea diffusers, and jumped onto the checkout counter.
The animal left on its own roughly 10 to 15 minutes after it arrived, according to the two people inside.
Joshua Card and Victoria Puyol were in the shop celebrating their seventh anniversary when Card spotted the bear near the entrance. Puyol said she did not immediately process what she was seeing.
