Alphabet shares fell after a report that Gemini 3.5 Pro, the company's most powerful AI model, has been delayed beyond the timeline Alphabet itself set when it unveiled the product in May.
The rollout timeline Alphabet set Alphabet introduced Gemini 3.5 Pro in May, at which point the model was already in internal use. The company said a broader rollout would come the following month.
A model running only internally generates no external signal on adoption or performance; the public launch was the event the market was watching for. The share move came on a report that this window has since widened.
